Crabcakes and Football that’s what Maryland does!

The famous quote from one of my favorite movie Wedding Crashers. As I’m sitting here spending my Thursday night watching the NFL draft, I’m thinking about how much I can’t wait for football season. Being from Maryland, football is in my nature. We have 2 huge teams that each Sunday fans from all over the Chesapeake cheer for. The Washington Redskins and The Baltimore Ravens. I was born so close to D.C. my family bred me to be a Redskins fan. When the holidays roll around I’m the only lonesome one bleeding purple and black. I can’t picture myself ever wearing those burgundy and gold colors across my chest. I wasn’t always a football fan. It wasn’t until I started cheer leading that I became interested in the game. I spent most of my Friday nights watching boys run around catching a ball, and tackling each other. I figured if I was going to be cheering for these boys, I should understand and LIKE the game. My dad has not only been playing football since he could walk, he has coached it from the time my brother entered kindergarten. It took me many questions and confusion to finally understand the game of football, and I still have a lot to learn. I’ve literally become OBSESSED with everything to do with football. :)

The best present I’ve ever received!

Hello there World!

I guess I’ll give you a bio about myself, so you can have a little insight of the chaos I call my life. I’m an aspiring elementary school teacher attending Towson University pursuing my bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. I’ve made some of the best memories in the past 3 years living here in tigertown, and I’m sad to think about the day I leave. I feel sorry for the people who never get to experience the typical college lifestyle. It definitely has made me appreciate the little things in my life, as well as grow up rather quickly. The most important thing to me is my family. I can’t think of a day that goes by that I don’t call my mom, dad, and step mom venting about my everyday life of a broke college kid. I’m soon to be 1 of 5 children in my family. That’s right you read it correctly I will have a new baby sister, Isabella Faye at the end of July. My parents are divorced and remarried to the best step parents a girl could ask for. I am smack in the middle of two brothers, which I was tortured by both as a child. Andrew is my older brother who is soon to be 25. He too attended Towson University along with what feels like the rest of my extended family. I honestly couldn’t tell you what he does for a living. I just know it deals with computers, and he’s a genius with anything to do with the subject. When he speaks I swear it’s a foreign language. My younger brother, Ryan will be graduating from high school in a few short weeks. He loves anything that has to do with fitness, lifting, and bodybuilding. Which is far away from my hatred of the gym, and love of junk food. My youngest sibling is the biggest joy of my life. Kalli Lynn is a anything but a quiet three year old little girl. She has her own opinion and shares it with anyone that comes into her path.

I’m a born and raised Maryland girl. I’ve been asked numerous times where I would move to if I could go anywhere, and my response is always that I would stay true to my Chesapeake bay roots in Maryland. I would rather sit on my deck with family and friends picking crabs and sipping beer, then move to any big ole city. I’m a nanny for 2 little girls, so my job is anything but normal. I’m a soccer mom by day, college kid by night. Teaching is my true passion, and as much as I complain about whining little children, I can’t wait for the day I have my very own classroom full of youngsters relying on me to mold their little minds. I love movies, traveling, shopping, photography, napping, the beach, cooking, music and just hanging out with friends. My outgoing and bubbly personality will be sure to come out in my future posts.

Thanks for reading! I’m going to try to post at least a few times a week, but if you’re interested in following my every thoughts my twitter is:
